Bob Fairbank is a Senior Nuclear Management Consultant to Talisman. He has over thirty years of experience in capital-intensive technical industries, including over sixteen years as a senior line manager. He was responsible for annual budgets of over $200 million and has led organizations of more than 100 employees. Line management responsibilities have included engineering, regulatory strategy & compliance, quality assurance/quality control, risk assessment, project management, and business management. He is a seasoned project manager, and has been responsible for up to 30 projects at a time. Recently he was the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for Comstock Canada LTD, during the restart of Pickering A, the largest nuclear recovery project in the world. In that position, he directed a staff of over 40 engineers and inspectors in implementing Comstock's Quality Assurance and Certificate of Authorization Programs. Prior to that assignment, he was the Project Manager of the investigation into the loss of accountability for two fuel rods at Millstone Unit 1. He successfully brought this high-profile issue to closure. Developed processes and procedures, quality standards, personnel training and qualification programs. Mr. Fairbank holds a M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and holds a B.S.M.E. from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts.
