


Elena Dryden is a Senior Consultant at Talisman. She has significant experience in nuclear regulatory litigation, including relevant document collection and review, conducting research for expert witness testimony, and annotating expert reports. She has conducted homeland security and provisional classification reviews to identify documents for inclusion in the Licensing Support Network for the Department of Energy’s License Application to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for construction of a high-level radioactive waste repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada. She served as a company representative at nuclear industry meetings and Capitol Hill policy hearings and prepared written summaries for distribution to the firm’s clients. Ms. Dryden is fluent in Spanish, French, Italian, and German and has assisted with bids for foreign contracts in accordance with European Community regulations and requirements. She also has reviewed and summarized Spanish language contractual documents for approval and execution by company management.
Before joining Talisman, Ms. Dryden served on the immediate staff of the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, where she was responsible for leading, planning, and directing meetings in preparation for the Secretary's domestic and international travel; coordinating direct tasking at the Under Secretary and Assistant Secretary level for the preparation of daily executive briefing material; evaluating material for adherence to appropriate regulations, protocol, and diplomatic requirements; editing materials for consistency of content, grammar, and format; and developing and maintaining briefing material templates and all electronic archives of past Secretarial Briefings and reading material, consistent with National Archives requirements. She also served as the personal interpreter for the Secretary in one-on-one meetings with foreign officials. She previously served as a Senior Document Analyst on the White House staff, where she was responsible for official and time-sensitive correspondence. Ms. Dryden has a B.A. degree in Communications from George Mason University.
