JOHN A. OLSHINSKI

John Olshinski is a Vice President of Talisman and is a Partner in the firm. Mr. Olshinski has over 39 years of nuclear safety experience including extensive experience in commercial nuclear power, Executive Management in the NRC and management in the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program. In NRC Headquarters, Mr. Olshinski served in senior licensing positions and subsequently served as Chief of the Operating Reactors Assessment Branch. In NRC Region II, Mr. Olshinski served as Deputy Regional Administrator. In this position, Mr. Olshinski formulated policies and programs and managed implementation of Inspection, Enforcement and Operator Licensing programs for the Region. Subsequent to leaving NRC, Mr. Olshinski served as Chairman of the Off-Site Review Committee for a two-unit commercial nuclear power station. He has also served as a Mentor in the DOE Environment, Safety and Health Office. In this capacity, Mr. Olshinski provided guidance and assistance to DOE in the development of the resident inspector program responsible for oversight of all aspects of environment, safety and health for a large DOE site. Mr. Olshinski has 10 years litigation assistance experience, including providing expert support in a number of litigation cases and experience as a testifying expert witness. Mr. Olshinski received a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina and an M.S. in Management from Duke University.
