


Dick Vollmer is a Senior Nuclear Safety Consultant to Talisman. Mr. Vollmer’s experience includes 15 years of consulting with nuclear utilities at the executive level to improve performance and implementation of nuclear standards of excellence, and working with law firms as an expert in rate cases and litigations involving technical and regulatory issues. Regulatory experience spanned the years of 1968 to 1995 at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) directing significant areas with policy, regulatory, and technical responsibility. These NRC positions included Director of the Office of Policy Planning, Deputy Director of the Offices of Inspection and Enforcement and Nuclear Reactor Regulation, and Director of Engineering. Industry experience prior to the NRC included physics and engineering work at nuclear steam systems suppliers and in the nuclear material production program. He earned a B.S. in Physics at University of Notre Dame.
